Once fully renovated, Sutter General Hospital will be renamed the Ose Adams Medical Pavilion – a five-story, 257-bed facility that will include:
- 24 operating rooms
- Two new cardiac cath labs
- Two new electrophysiology labs
- Five angiography rooms
- 106 recovery beds
- State-of-the-art digital Imaging Department
- Emergency services expansion with larger waiting areas, more treatment rooms, and dedicated CT scanner and other imaging equipment, and the addition of a children-only emergency room
- The new home of Sutter Heart and Vascular Institute, in addition to tertiary services including orthopedics, neuroscience, bariatrics and oncology.
A beautiful, walking meditation garden outside Ose Adams Medical Pavilion and facing Sutter’s Fort is an example of using natural elements as a component of a healing environment. Located next to the new Emergency Department entry, this garden will provide a tranquil respite on a bustling medical campus for staff and visitors alike.
The Ose Adams Medical Pavilion is named for Enlow Ose and Melena Adams Ose and their family, whose generous gift of $10 million was made in support of Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento’s expansion efforts.
