Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento first opened its doors in 1923. Back then Sutter Hospital was the most modern health care institution in California, and ever since Sutter has continued to meet the needs of the growing Greater Sacramento Region and the 27 counties it serves.

A comprehensive renovation of Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento has provided a unique opportunity to partner with neighbors and other community members to create an innovative “urban village” that brings cultural, economic and health care benefits to Northern California.
