    Deep Brain Stimulation/Movement Disorder Multidisciplinary Conference (No CME) – Monthly

    Evaluate individuals with movement disorders for appropriateness of deep brain stimulation or other therapies. The committee strives to identify individuals for therapy and evaluate their condition in order to improve clinical outcomes for DBS and alternative therapy. Target attendees are Neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-radiologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, and neuropsychologists involved with persons with movement disorders.

    Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) Conference (1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™) - Weekly

    Stereotactic body radiation therapy is a radiation technique in which extremely high doses of radiation are delivered to very well defined target volumes with the goal of sterilizing the tumor within the target. Both the risk and rewards of treatment are high. This conference is heavily devoted to a discussion of the technical aspects of treatment including immobilization, treatment planning, dose specification and delivery of treatment. There is also discussion of appropriate case selection for this treatment. Open to physicians involved in lung cancer care, Radiation Oncologist, Physicists, Dosimetrist, Radiation Therapists, Registered Nurses involved in SBRT patient care.

    Stereotactic Radiosurgery Case Conference (No CME) - Monthly

    Regularly scheduled stereotactic radiosurgery case conferences whereby the team will gain knowledge of and competence in the risks and benefits of using stereotactic radiosurgery on neuro related conditions effecting the brain. The essential knowledge will allow the physicians, RN's, physicists and patient care coordinators to properly determine appropriate candidates, radiosurgery dosages, indications for fractionation and potential complications.
