    29th Annual Indian Summer Golf Classic

    On Monday, September 18, 2017, Sutter Medical Center Foundation will host its 29th annual Sutter Indian Summer Golf Classic at Del Paso Country Club.

    Thanks to the generous sponsors, raffle donors and players who attended last year’s event, more than $100,000 was raised to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento.

    This year’s beneficiary will be Sutter Center for Psychiatry, Northern California’s resource for comprehensive and compassionate mental health services. It is also the only not-for-profit psychiatric hospital in the region that is part of an integrative health care system. In 2016, the Center served more than 5,000 individuals seeking mental health services and was selected as a Top 100 Best Places to Work by Modern Healthcare.

    Monies raised from this year’s event will not only support patient care services and programs but also enhance the Healing Gardens in the Sutter Center for Psychiatry. Transformation of current outdoor areas will allow for reflection, engagement, and therapeutic sessions while providing a place for individuals to recover, feel empowered, and connect with nature.

    The Sutter Breast Cancer Quilt Auction

    The Sutter Breast Cancer Quilt Auction is a community service event to raise funds for Sutter Cancer Center’s breast cancer programs, services and equipment. In total, more than 3,000 quilts and quilted art pieces were donated to the five prior auctions providing over $650,000 for the Cancer Center programs.

    The next auction will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Quilts will be accepted between September 1, 2016 and September 1, 2017.
