Sutter outpatient mental health services began in 1965 at Sutter Memorial Hospital. Now as a part of Sutter Center for Psychiatry, Sutter Counseling Center offers outpatient services for children and youth.
Services include: - Multidisciplinary diagnostic evaluation with social, psychiatric and psychological assessments
- Individual and group play therapy for children
- Individual and group psychotherapy for children and adolescents
- Individual, couple and group parent guidance and counseling
- Therapeutic group activity program for young children
- Family therapy
- Consultation with other community providers of service
- Medication management
Services are funded by the Sacramento County Mental Health Plan and are limited to those who are Medi-Cal eligible (EPSDT) or authorized in an Individual Education Plan by their school district (AB 26.5).
Program Hours: Weekdays, 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m., Some evening appointments are available.
