Sutter Center for Psychiatry is pleased to announce to the psychiatric community that we now offer Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for treatment of severe, treatment resistant obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).
Medtronic recently received FDA approval for the use of their Reclaim System of DBS for treatment resistant OCD. The hospital Institutional Review Board has approved this procedure according to FDA guidelines, and our treatment team of psychiatrists and neurosurgeons is now available to evaluate patients with treatment resistant OCD for Deep Brain Stimulation Treatment.
