Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)

Sutter Center for Psychiatry offers Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) for inpatients and outpatients. All individuals considering ECT receive comprehensive psychiatric and medical evaluation. Based on these evaluations it is determined whether ECT is an appropriate option. When ECT is determined appropriate, a patient and family education program is offered to assist the patient in making a decision.
The treatment team includes psychiatrists, nurses and anesthesiologists specializing in ECT.
Program Hours: Weekdays, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
