Sutter Cancer Center
2800 L Street , Sacramento, CA
The 2008 Breast Cancer Quilt Auction was a tremendous success. More than $124,000 was raised for the Sutter Cancer Center’s breast cancer research and patient treatment programs. To those who generously donated or purchased a quilt, thank you. Your support is sincerely appreciated by the patients and staff of the Sutter Cancer Center.
The Breast Cancer Quilt Auction is a community service project to raise funds for Sutter Cancer Center’s breast cancer research and patient treatment programs. Auctions have been hosted by Sutter Medical Center Foundation every three years since 1999. In total, more than 1,900 quilts and art quilt pieces have been donated, providing more than $425,000 for the Cancer Center programs.
The quilts are made and donated by Northern California quilt makers. Many of the quilts are made to honor a loved one lost to cancer or in celebration of the quilter’s personal successes in overcoming this disease. All proceeds benefit the Sutter Cancer Center which is located in Sacramento, California.
We look forward to the 2011 Breast Cancer Quilt Auction and hope that you will visit this site again at that time.
