What's Happening in 2008

Online Auction

Beginning in the summer of 2008 a selection of stunning quilts will be offered for sale in an Online Auction. The Online Auction allows quilt buyers who cannot be in Sacramento on Auction Day to bid on quilts. Additional information about the Online Auction and a link to the auction website will be posted here shortly before the Online Auction opens.

Silent Auction

The Silent Auction opens October 1, 2008, and closes the afternoon of Auction Day, November 1, 2008. Approximately 500 beautiful quilts will be on display throughout the Sutter Cancer Center during the month of October 2008. The Cancer Center is open daily and the public is welcome to visit the quilt display anytime during the month. There will be a bid sheet for each quilt in the Silent Auction so that individuals may bid on the quilts during their visit. Individuals are encouraged to place generous bids on every quilt they would like to own. The Sutter Cancer Center is located at 2800 L Street in Sacramento.

Live Auction

The Live Auction is the highlight of Auction Day. At 10 AM on November 1, 2008, the auctioneer will open the bidding on 50 exceptional quilts. The bidding is fast-paced and lots of fun. After the Live Auction there will be time to see if you are still the high bidder on your Silent Auction quilts or to bid on additional quilts.
