Reverend Lisa Nordlander is a certified ACPE Supervisor and the Director of Spiritual Care Services. She received her Masters of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She is an ordained United Methodist pastor, with six years of parish experience in New Jersey and California.
Lisa has twenty years of hospital experience and CPE training. She completed CPE training at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia; The Texas Heart Institute/St. Luke's Episcopal/Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas; The University of California, San Francisco, Medical Center; The Veterans Administration Hospital in Martinez, California; and Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento.
Following her certification as a Full ACPE Supervisor in 1991, she was employed at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center; Woodland Healthcare; and Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento.
Lisa grew up outside of Boston, and moved throughout the country completing her education and clinical training. She is married, and her husband has a dental practice in Sacramento. They have two children. Lisa has been a life long runner and enjoys gardening as a newfound hobby.

Reverend John Grindler Katonah is a certified ACPE Supervisor and the Pastoral Education Coordinator/Chaplain for the Spiritual Care Services Department of Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento. He received his Masters of Divinity degree from Bethany Theological Seminary with a focus on pastoral care and counseling. He is an ordained pastor in the Church of the Brethren, with 7 years of street ministry to troubled youth and the last 30 years in hospital chaplaincy work.
He completed CPE residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. A Board Certified Chaplain for many years, John was director of the Pastoral Care and Healing Arts Department at Evanston Hospital for 21 years where he became an Associate Supervisor in 1996. At that time he developed and coordinated the CPE program at Evanston Hospital until 2007. Previously John served as staff chaplain at several medical centers in Illinois: Mercy Hospital in Aurora and Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.
John grew up outside New York City and later San Francisco, settling in Chicago area to attend seminary and start a family. His wife completed CPE training and went further to become a health psychologist and professor. They have three wonderful adult daughters who each have chosen helping professions other than ministry. John finds balance through canoeing, biking, stringed instruments, family gatherings and silent contemplation.

Gerald L. Jones is a certified ACPE Supervisor and the Director of Chaplain Services at Sutter Roseville Medical Center since June 2002. Gerald is also a Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains, which he attained in 2001. He received his Master’s of Arts degree from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, focusing on the theological history of American religions. He is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in various capacities in his church.
Gerald grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. While in seminary at the GTU, he completed his CPE residency at Mt. Diablo Medical Center (now John Muir Medical Center, Concord Campus) and later worked for Sutter VNA and Hospice as a hospice chaplain in Concord, CA. After three years of work with the hospice, Gerald came to Sutter Roseville. He began ACPE Supervisory Training with Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento, in 2003 and became a fully certified ACPE Supervisor in October 2009. His favorite hobby is spending time with his wife and four sons.
